We dressed up as Nikki Sixx and Vince Neil from the rock band Motley Crue. Below is a real picture of what they look like and then us.
We also have pictures of our friends dressed as Betty Page, Falcon the Balloon Boy, Octo-mom, and Ginger and Gilligan!

Engagement Video
I was playing around with this video editing program called Muvee today and decided to practice on the Two engagement video clips and decided to try and splice them together. Well then I got carried away and added some features to make it look like an old movie video.
Okay got more crazy and found a feature to merge music and pictures so this is what I came up with. Pablo

Jamming with the Welkers
I went over to Steve Welker to jam with him and his son on guitar and visit my cousin Eva. We started off rough as we got to know who knew what songs. But we played for four hours with Guest vocals by Sara and his wife Kristy. One great one was our jam to Hotel California with Sara taking lead vocals and myself harmonizing with her. Unfortunately we didn't get video since Sara was the camera person. But below are a couple of videos.

Kareoking for our friend Heather's Annual Sweet 16 Birthday Party
Pablo sang to Prince's Kiss in total falsetto.
The Girls are singing Material Girl. Heather is the one in the white shirt who didn't want to sing but see if she changed her mind. Her back up singers are Sara, Maya and Christina.
We were all out for Heather's annual sweet 16 celebration. We started out at La Bocia Italian Restaurant in Scottsdale. We then went tp Ernie's to sing kareoke.

Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Game
Sara and I went to the Phoenix Coyotes vs. Vancouver Canucks (sp?) last night. We sat next to every Canadian Canucks fan there was pretty much. It was also 1980's night so people came dressed in costumes (wish we would have known). But when we got there we got to see a DeLorian like from Back to the Future. We then went over to Bar Louie to grab something to eat and a pint. On the way over there we bumped into Howler the Coyote. Then it was the actual game. So the Coyotes won like 5 - 0 when we left with ten minutes left. I thought Canadians like invented hockey and were supposed to be good. But it was fun. I learned a lot about Canada from our new friend for the night Patrick (a teacher from Vancouver).
Below is a video from what happens at one of the many goals the Coyotes scored and also Sara dancing.
Below are pics from the night.

Valentine's Day
Sara was in charge this year of our Valentine's Evening plans. So I was instructed to get out of the house or stay away from down stairs for several hours. So I went upstairs, popped in a Season 1 DVD of "Scooby Doo Where Are You" and napped for several hours. When I woke up I went and played some guitar in the office and then jumped in the shower. Then my clean self played some more guitar.
Sara jumped in the shower then and after she was all ready, I was allowed to go downstairs. I found the dining room completely decorated, candles everywhere and she made stuffed chicken chile rellenos. We drank a bottle of Alcantara Sangiovese. She had a cd of a guy who played guitar at the wine bar we met Shaefer at playing. Since she was dressed very nicely, I then surprised her with my present and gave her a pearl necklace to put on. She then presented me with mine which as she said "isn't very romantic." I disagree cause I say nothing says I love you and Happy Valentine's Day like Guitar Hero Aerosmith!
We later on watched a romantic comedy of Sara's choice which she chose "Love Actually". Which for once I stayed awake for and she fell asleep. But hey I got to sleep all day so I'll cut her some slack. But it was a great Valentine's Day.

Cardinals Super Bowl Pics
Below are pics from Super Bowl Party at Andy and Meltem's. There were jello shots for every time the Cards scored a touchdown. Also Sara and I made shirts with the first Tshirt saying "Go Cards!" and the tank top shirt saying "Sorry Cards" and on the back says "Fair Weather Fan".
For all of our friends and family in the colder parts of the world, this is how I watch the Super Bowl....shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops on February 1st.

Dust off your clubs and join us...
Hey Everyone,
I am thinking of trying to put together a Foursome to support this event for ACBVI. As some of you may know I have been friends with Steve Welker for more than 10 years now and have seen how much this organization has helped him.
Cost: $450 for foursome (about $112 per player of the Foursome)
$125 for an individual player
Usually entrance to non-profit Charity events starts at $250 or higher per player. A portion of the entrance fee would be considered a donation. Or if you wanted to If you are interested in joining me, let me know. You can also sign up by yourself at $125 rather than signing up as a foursome.
Also pass this along to anyone else who may be interested in joining my foursome or playing on their own.
Details are below in the email.
For Steve's story go to http://www.radicalresiliency.com/.
Thanks,
Pablo

FBR Phoenix Open
Sara and I both took Friday January 30th off from work to go to the FBR Phoenix Open. We got up early to go meet some of my co-workers at Temple Bar and Grill in North Scottsdale. We had a round of beers as we waited for everyone to get there at 10:20 am. Then we went outside to find out that Temple Bar had hired an Escalade Stretch Limo to take their customers to the Open and bring them back! We all piled in. Once we got there we got a beer (some got a Bloody Mary). We then went and got a spot on the grass near the 17th Hole. We then went over to the Food Court and Beer Garden to get some lunch and get another round of beer. We were then off to the 17th Hole again, where we had a cliche Scottsdale Girl talking loudly through the players playing with her high squeaky valley girl tone. Sara and I left around 4 pm to go catch the limo back since we were getting tired and avoid the traffic. It was a fun day and click here to see pictures.

Christmas in Tucson
We went down to Tucson on Christmas Eve after work for both of us. After dropping off the presents at Gerry and Eddie's house we were off to meet Pablo's friend Sara (Moses) Wright and her new son Barrett. Her son had little Converse All Star shoes as did Pablo. See the pics. We also got to see Sara's husband John. We then and met with Pablo's mom and dad. We then went to the Spencer's house where we met up with Kevin, Todd and Jessie and Kevin and Todd's parents. We had some drinks and joined them for dinner of steak shiskabobs. Jessie and Todd are expecting a little girl in May. After that it was off to Gerry and Eddie's house, where all of Pablo's family was spending the night. It was food and drinks. We stayed up with Grandma until 2 am having drinks and learning spanish. We then went to bed and Pablo and Grandma got up at 8 am. They made Coffee. Pablo's dad had to work and his mom brought over Menudo which is a Christmas tradition. Priscilla and Dan got there at 10 am and we opened presents.
Susie and Hugo got re-engaged (they have been married for 26 years) but Hugo surprised her with a ring (see the picture). Eddie then told everyone since Pablo gave Sara a ring and Susie got a ring, he wanted to give Gerry two carrots (he held out 2 actual orange carrot sticks). Sara got a new jewelry box, Sara made Pablo and ASU blanket and her Mom made Pablo and Elvis Quilt. Priscilla gave everyone Scrapbook art. We gave Grandma a digital frame that also had pictures in the frame of her wedding, honeymoon and the last picture of her with Pablo's grandfather before he passed away. The digital pictures were all from last year's Christmas.
We then joined Priscilla and Dan to visit Pablo's dad at the Fire Station for Christmas dinner. They had honeybaked ham, about 50 lbs of mashed potatos, sweet potatos, rolls and green bean caserole. After dinner they did a White Elephant gift exchange. So you got to see firefighters compete for the best tools gift. We also did a tour of the new station and Sara got to meet all of the firefighter friends.
We came back to Gerry and Eddie's for a ham dinner, with large shrimp and grandma's potatoe's which is soaked in vinegar. And then we were on the road back to Phoenix to work the day after Christmas. We hope you all had a good Christmas as we enjoyed ours.

New Years 2009
"Pablo and I celebrated the New Years Celebration with events the took up most of the day. We went to the new Light Rail, and took the light rail to the Insight Bowl which dropped us off right in front of the Statium. It was, free and awesome! We went to Fumbles now called College Dropout to meet up with Pablo's friend from college Brian Styskal or as Pablo refers to him Styskal who I had never met. He lives in Rhode Island right now. We had a beer and then went to the Insight Bowl. We watched Kansas Jayhawks beat the Minnesota Gophers (which Pablo thought was a stupid idea for a mascot). I sat next to a lady from Omaha. The Half Time show included both Marching Bands doing Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Minnesota did a better version. During the third quarter we left to get back to the Light Rail to get to the New Years party. We swung by Char's house to change for the party and then were off to Fountain Hills. We hung out with Brian, Eric, Heather, Becker, Lucas, Desiree and Devon. Heather made delish Italian cuisine, including Tiramisu. It was all tasty. Brian brought the vintage bottle of Strawberry Hill Boons Farms for all to enjoy. We toasted in the New Year and sang Auld Lang's Syne. By 2 or 3 am, I fell asleep on the couch. Pablo put a pillow on me and did the same. Pablo and Heather tried to set up the air mattress, but the pump needed to be charged. So we shared Heather's daughter's twin size bed. We got up at 8 am and drove home where we were lazy all day. It was a great New Years Eve. Hope everyone had a great New Years and here is to a great 2009!"
